• New York Theological Seminary has always been committed to making its programs and degrees as accessible as possible.  In today’s world, that often means online learning.  At NYTS you can complete your certificate or master’s degree (except for the MPS offered inside Sing Sing), and most of your doctoral degree online, face-to-face, or a combination of the two.

For its online learning NYTS uses MOODLE (an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment).  As an interactive website with features and activities designed to engage learners and promote collaborative learning, MOODLE is one of the most widely used rapidly growing online learning systems in the world today.

All learning at NYTS is supported by MOODLE.  Here you will find student announcements, news about community life, and the resources you need for successfully completing all classes and degrees.  Once inside your own page (protected by your password) you will find every course being offered in every semester or intensive period is listed, and a number of additional helpful resources you might need.  Some of the courses that are offered each year are conducted entirely in MOODLE, while others are blended (also known as hybrid or mixed-mode courses) where a portion of the learning takes place with face-to-face instruction and a portion is online.  Even face-to-face classes at NYTS use MOODLE for such things as posting the syllabus or making reserve readings available.

Current Students: if you have MOODLE questions, please contact HelpDesk at helpdesk@mail.nyts.edu. In the email, include your name, your student identification number, your program affiliation (CP, MDiv, MAPCC, MAYM, MARLA or DMin) and the issue you are having with Moodle.

NYTS Joins Faith Leaders in Taking the Matthew 25 Pledge
by A. Cathy Morales - Thursday, February 23, 2017, 5:50 PM

NYTS is proud to join faith leaders around the country in taking the Matthew 25 Pledge. Rather than just watching, grieving, and feeling sorry for what is happening to the most marginalized, who are named in the 25th chapter of Matthew, we can pledge to join together in circles of support in the name of Jesus. For additional information about the pledge, please join us at http://matthew25pledge.com or http://ht.ly/tAc0309iRL9 . #m25
