Attention all NYTS Students:
The Interchurch Center (475 Riverside Drive, which houses the NYTS main offices) has a new building security system, which includes some important changes for how visitors, including our students, will access the facility.
Please take note of the following: Starting Tuesday, October 1st, all visitors to the NYTS offices (anyone who does not have a building ID) must be pre-registered as visitors.
This means that if you are expecting to visit the NYTS offices starting October 1st you must be sure that you pre-schedule your time with the person or persons you are visiting, that they are available for the time you plan on coming to the offices and have your full name and email address. This applies to advisement, registration, tuition payment/refund check pickups and any other reason you are visiting. If you are planning on attending a special event for NYTS, you MUST register appropriately beforehand. Our staff will then add your name to the visitors’ list that is submitted to The Interchurch Center Security Desk.
Professors and other seminary staff will submit a list of all the names of visiting groups, including class lists. Those who have registered for classes or special events held in suite 500 will be automatically pre-registered. During evening hours, only those pre-registered as visitors will have office access.
Thank you for your careful attention to these new arrangements. It will be an adjustment for all of us until we get used to the proper building protocols moving forward.
