President's Update on COVID-19 - Online Learning
by Ishpal Kaur - Monday, March 16, 2020, 9:14 AM
Good morning NYTS students,
I pray you had a good weekend. I hope that faith continues to lead you, hope continues to inspire you and love continues to stretch you in all that you do. In light of everything that has happened in the last few days pertaining to the spread of the coronavirus,  we will accelerate moving toward our online learning platform.
While we do not have any confirmed cases of the coronavirus among the NYTS community, we want to move forward in faith and wisdom and minimize the risk of spread as much as possible. Therefore, in order to keep you and our community safe, rather than wait to begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, we will begin our online instruction on Monday, March 16, 2020. Yes - that is today.
This decision is not being made lightly, but with a full commitment to the health and safety of the NYTS community. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and email any updates accordingly.
In addition, staff will be moving to a modified schedule on Tuesday - so that only a few staff will be in the office each day and the rest will be working remotely. Email, rather than phone calls will be the best mode of communication over the next few days. We are here to support you so please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your patience during this process. Continue to move forward in faith and wisdom!
